Fondant Ducks Pictorial

Quack!! Quack!! Quack!!

I love using Satin Ice fondant and gumpaste.
For this project, I used fondant.

Below photos speaks for themselves,
easy peasy... you need to spare some time to make them.

Cut mini fondant ball to half for the beaks.

Here they are on the cake.

Just little details on the side.

Thank you for looking (^_^)

Halloween Cupcakes

Made these colorful halloween cats.
The tutorial was from Kara Couture Cakes,
you can see it here.

She made black cat, elegant eventhough it's a Steampunk Kitty :)

To complete them, I also made:

 Pumpkin...I think it's not a scary one.

 Witch hat with white bow.
It was dusted with rainbow disco dust.
Can't see it on the photo.

Long pointy Orange color Witch Shoes
with edible glitter.
The inspiration came from Traditional Dutch shoes which my Uncle brought us as a gift when we were still children.  Those shoes were not pointy though.
Unlike the usual witch with black ugly shoes,
I think this particular witch must be quite trendy one {smile}.

This halloween cat....it stand out from the others because it look kind of "perfect", but be careful it is not as sweet as it look.  It resembles how us human may have 2 eyes, 2 arms, 2 legs etc, but be careful some of them are very evil in their acts.

Fat Bat.
This is my favorite out of all.
It has cute fat body with big funny googly eyes but small wings.
I bet it can't fly,,,, too fat!! {laugh}.

Here are all of them.

Happy Halloween 2016.

Happy Fall to my American Friends.

Happy Spring to my Australian Friends.

I make sugar berries - A note for me

Roll purple gum paste, onto the hook of florist wire.
Use sugar glue to "glue" it.
Or put the hook on candle flame just for a second,
then insert the gum paste ball, secure the bottom to "glue" it.
This is great tip I got from Cupid's Cake Decorating Supplies shop.
Love it!  Thanks Cupid's!

Use modelling tool as on the photo, insert on top of the gum paste purple ball, reshape if necessary. Leaf to dry.

Other Berries:
Shape gum paste into a cone shape.
Make a hook on florist wire.

Make tiny gum paste balls, I used tiny pearl mold for this.
Once pearl released from the mold, cut and roll them one by one.

Attached tiny gum paste balls on the cone with sugar glue.

Thanks for looking (^_^)

Ivory Wedding Cake and Light Pink Extra Large Sugar Rose

Sharna came to me with this wedding cake design
I can't find the original cake decorator of this cake.
If you know, please let me know :)

Now I have to search for the lace.
Even though Sharna doesn't mind if I use a similar look
of sugar lace, as much as I can I would like to use the same one.
And I found it! It's from Paradoxx.

Sharna will come and pick-up her wedding cake,
so I would like to "give something back" to her.
I offered her a free extra large sugar rose,
and she has chosen light pink color.

So here is the cake in ivory color,
with sugar lace dusted in CK Antique Silk dust,
and light pink extra large sugar rose.

It was in size 7" and 9",
you can see from below photo that the extra large sugar rose
spreading from side to side almost 17.5 cms.
It is really large indeed!

Close-up photo for the sugar rose

I made this extra large sugar rose and leaves using this method.

Do you realize there is a gap between sugar lace?
Here is the close-up look.

This is what it looks like after "filling".

Once brushed with CK Antique Silk dust, the color blends in beautifully!
See how pretty it looks now? :)

Huge Congratulation to Sharna!
I wish you both HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
and Thank you very much for your trust xx

I thought I made a single medium size sugar rose
with few fillers and leaf.
This one looks romantic to me and I heart it!

Thanks for looking! (^_^)
